Nightmare on Elm Street

Basic Plot: We find out about Freddy being a child murderer taking revenge on the people that burned him alive by killing their children in their dreams. Everybody knows the best way to kill kids is by having blades on your fingers so Freddy adopts that as his trademark weapon.

Appearance: Dark and shadowy and evil looking, willing to chop off his own fingers and have his face pulled off just to scare people. The bit where he's got really long arms looks stupid though.

Best Death: Johnny Depp being pulled into his bed and spewed up to the ceiling in a geyser of blood

Villain Death: Being ignored to death

Twist Ending: Everybody is back alive like none of it happened but then the car's roof goes up and its the same colours as Freddy's jumper! and there are girls skipping to Freddy's song! and then Freddy grabs the mum through the door and pulls her into the house!

Friday the 13th

Basic Plot: A creepy local warns some teens of doom if they stay at the camp, we find out that Jason was killed as a child at the camp but its his mum doing the killing in this film.

Appearance: Old woman

Best Death: Kevin Bacon getting an arrow pushed through his neck. Fun fact: Kevin Bacon always insists on doing his own stunts and actually had an arrow pushed through his neck, but made sure it missed his spine and arteries.

Villain Death: Head chopped off with a machete

Twist Ending: A young Jason jumps out of the water and grabs the girl

Freddy 1 : Jason 0

They might both wear a knitted jumper but Freddy easily wins on fear factor over an old woman.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2

Basic Plot: Freddy is back and possessing a boy and making him kill people, he can also somehow manage to attack large groups of people at a party without them being asleep and manages to ignore most of the rules set by the first film, although it does let Freddy burst out through the body of the boy he's possessing which is a great bit of special effects work and makes the film worth watching just to see it.

Appearance: Same as the first one, but no stupid long arms.

Best Death: The pet budgie that explodes after going on a rampage

Villain Death: Jesse's girlfriend says she loves Freddy and kisses him which makes him burn up and release Jesse

Twist Ending: The kids are sat on the school bus and everything is fine but then Freddy's claw busts through the chest of one of the girls and the bus goes careening off into the desert.

Friday the 13th Part 2

Basic Plot: After a 15 minute recap of what happened in the first film, the second one starts. The first one with Jason as the killer, although its Jason as a mentally handicapped, disfigured man-child with a sack on his head. At least in this one he runs after people rather than magically keeping up with his victims while slowly walking after them. A weird local warns the teens of doom again. Jason is now killing any teens that come to the camp for two reasons, because of what happened to him as a child and because of his mum being killed

Appearance: Freak! With a sack on his head!

Best Death: Guy in the wheelchair gets a machete to the face and rolls down the stairs backwards

Villain Death: Machete chopped in the shoulder

Twist Ending: Jason bursts through a window and grabs the girl but is it a dream, is Jason dead or alive, who knows

Freddy 1 : Jason 1

The worst Freddy film loses out to one of the best Jason films even though we still don't have classic Jason yet.

Nightmare on Elm Street Part 3

Basic Plot: Freddy is back and tormenting kids in their dreams again, he goes after a group of kids in a mental home but they've figured out how to all be in the same dream and use the fact that its a dream to give themselves special abilities. We also find out that freddy is the product of 100 maniacs raping his mum after she accidentally got locked in the room with them over the christmas holidays. Presumably only one of the maniacs is the actual father though unless their sperm merged together to create one really sick evil sperm.

Appearance: Normal Freddy plus Freddy worm, Freddy puppet, Freddy TV and sexy nurse

Best Death: When he comes alive as a string puppet and controls one of the kids as a puppet with his tendons and makes him jump off the roof

Villain Death: His bones need a proper burial so holy water and crucifixes in the real world combine with being stabbed with his own glove in the dream world and freddy's dead, again.

Twist Ending: The helpful nun is a ghost and the light comes on in the model of Freddy's house, so maybe he's not dead, again.

Friday the 13th Part 3

Basic Plot: Its in 3D. crazy local warns of doom, teens ignore him again. Jason is still alive and still killing everyone he crosses. Jason takes a hockey mask from one of his victims and likes it so much he has a variation of it in the rest of the films. The poor teens think getting attacked by a group of bikers is bad enough but finding Jason just makes a bad day worse

Appearance: Finally proper Jason with the hockey mask

Best Death: If you're watching in 3D the head being squeezed until the eye pops out. If its 2D then the kid walking on his hands getting a machete to the balls

Villain Death: Hit in the head with an axe

Twist Ending: He's not dead, he's not wearing the mask due to the axe cut, he looks freaky. The surviving girl is out on the lake in a boat, shocked at seeing Jason up and about, but she's even more shocked when Jason's mum pops up out of the water to grab her. but no its all a delusion of a damaged mind and jason is actually dead. or is he?

Freddy 2 : Jason 1

Jason makes a good effort and if you can see it in 3D its even better but Freddy 3 is probably the best in the series so easily wins.

Nightmare on Elm Street Part 4

Basic Plot: Freddy needs more kids to kill and so starts making the survivors of Elm Street 3 dream about him again and tell their friends so he can get them too. The teens know about a dream master spell though and one of the girls absorbs the other teens powers and becomes a dream master taking Freddy on in his underground lair

Appearance: Looking cool in shades on the beach

Best Death: The girl who's arms snap off and then she turns into a bug that Freddy squishes

Villain Death: The dream master spell causes all of Freddy's victims that were trapped in his belly to tear him apart, escape and go to heaven and Freddy dies.

Twist Ending: The surviving teens make a wish in a fountain and we see Freddy's reflection in the water ripples, we don't know what the wish was, maybe they wished Freddy wasn't dead and would be back in another sequel

Friday the 13th Part 4

Basic Plot: Jason wakes up in the morgue and starts killing again, he heads back to crystal lake where teens are partying, including the awesome Crispin Glover dancing like a freak, and proceeds to kill them, unlucky for him a bald Corey Feldman is there to stop him

Appearance: Still got the gash in his head and mask from the last film

Best Death: Crispin Glover gets a corkscrew in his hand and a cleaver in the face

Villain Death: Hacked to bits by Corey Feldman who has disguised himself as Jason by shaving his head and looking like a freak. While Jason is confused by his mini-me Corey starts hacking.

Twist Ending: Corey Feldman looks into the camera like a psycho freak, is he the new Jason?

Freddy 2 : Jason 2

The best Jason film in the series and possibly the best slasher film ever, its a total classic. Freddy 4 is actually really good too but it doesn't matter

Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5

Basic Plot: A baby is now dreaming and Freddy is causing havoc by killing people by getting into the baby's dreams, Freddy's mum helps out though by telling the dreaming baby how to stop Freddy and eventually sucking him back inside her

Appearance: Freaky deformed baby Freddy

Best Death: The girl being forced to eat with Freddy's spoon fingers until she chokes to death

Villain Death: Turned into a baby and sucked back into his mum

Twist Ending: Creepy skipping kids singing the Freddy song!

Friday the 13th Part 5

Basic Plot: Corey Feldman's character, Tommy, from part 4 is grown up a bit and not Corey Feldman anymore, but he is in some kind of kids home, other kids in the home start being murdered by Jason, or do they?

Appearance: Different hockey mask, now why would that be?

Best Death: Girl stabbed in the eyes with open secateurs which are then closed in her head. I never want to meet the person that thought of killing someone that way.

Villain Death: Dropped onto farm equipment, not sure what a metal spiky rack is used for on a farm but it makes you think they should have a cover for it when its not in use.

Twist Ending: Its not even Jason! But Tommy still looks like he might secretly turn into Jason when he grabs the mask and smashes out of his hospital window

Freddy 3 : Jason 2

Another good Freddy film but Jason has his worst film yet by not even being in it, lots of good boobs though so its not all bad.

Nightmare on Elm Street Part 6

Basic Plot: Freddy's killed all the kids except one, who ends up losing his memory and put into a home outside town. The people at the home decide to go to his home town to try and get his memory back but that lets Freddy start killing them again. It turns out Freddy had a daughter and she manages to pull Freddy into the real world to kill him for good in 3D.

Appearance: Without his burned up face!

Best Death: The kid pulled into the computer game and stomped by a digital Freddy

Villain Death: Pinned to the wall with a throwing star, stabbed with his own glove and blown up with a pipe bomb

Twist Ending: None, he really is dead this time.

Friday the 13th Part 6

Basic Plot: Tommy digs up Jason's body and stabs him with a metal pole, the pole gets struck by lightning and it revives Jason who goes around killing again.

Appearance: Living dead Jason

Best Death: The cop who is folded in half backwards.

Villain Death: Chained to a rock at the bottom of the lake and a boat propeller chewing at his neck.

Twist Ending: He's not dead, his eye moved!

Freddy 3 : Jason 3

Freddy was running out of ideas now, not enough happens, Jason makes a comeback after the rubbish part 5 and is now even more unstoppable.

Nightmare on Elm Street Part 7

Basic Plot: Freddy invades the real world by killing the actors that make Freddy films.

Appearance: Wearing a trench coat

Best Death: Not much to choose from so the girl who gets dragged onto the ceiling and killed

Villain Death: Locked in his furnace

Twist Ending: Its a film inside a film inside a film, its real, its a film,

its one big twist.

Friday the 13th Part 7

Basic Plot: Jason is accidentally released from his chains by a girl with psychic powers and kills again

Appearance: Even more living dead Jason, now with a scary monster face under the mask.

Best Death: Jason punches straight through someone's body

Villain Death: Psychic powers are used again to call up her dead dad from the lake and drag Jason back down.

Twist Ending: No twist, is it finally over?

Freddy 4 : Jason 3

Not much killing in Freddy's film but its a cool plot and Jason has totally lost the plot with this one.I can accept Jason being supernatural and inhuman but girls with psychic powers trying to stop him just seems too ridiculous

Basic Plot: TV series kinda like Twilight Zone but not very good

 

Friday the 13th Part 8

Basic Plot: Jason is revived by electricity again when a boats anchor drags a cable into him. Jason gets onto a boat headed for Manhattan and starts killing again

Appearance: So scary even tough street punks back down from a fight when he shows them his face.

Best Death: The boy who decides to have a boxing match with Jason, repeatedly punching him in the face even though Jason is wearing a mask designed to stop the force of a high velocity hockey puck. Jason throws one punch and knocks the kid's head off, we cheer and laugh.

Villain Death: Face melted by toxic waste and then drowned in the sewer.

Twist Ending: The dog survived and found his masters, yay!

Freddy 4 : Jason 4

Freddy sold out and made a rubbish TV series, Jason did some of the cruelest killings yet. Its kinda rubbish, but in an entertaining way. Still not sure why water killed him though when he's spent most of his existance at the bottom of a lake and still managed to get out and about every now and then.

Basic Plot: Freddy doesn't show up

 

Friday the 13th Part 9

Basic Plot: Jason's back at crystal lake but its not long before he's blown to bits by the FBI. at the morgue his spirit enters another body and he starts killing and possessing people

Appearance: Its not Jason for 95% of the film again

Best Death: The girl with a spike shoved through her body and ripped upwards so it tears her body in half.

Villain Death: Stabbed with a magic dagger and gets dragged to hell by giant hands.

Twist Ending: Freddy grabs Jason's mask and pulls it to hell!

Freddy 5 : Jason 4

Freddy wins purely because its another Jason film with hardly any Jason and Freddy's surprise cameo at the end is awesome. While skimming through Jasons film to check out the deaths, I accidentally had the subtitles turned on. Ever watched a sex scene that turns into a murder scene with subtitles? It goes like this: [pants], [slower pants], [heavy footsteps], [quicker rythmic pants], [heavy footsteps], [pants], [crunch], [gasp of passion], [pants], [pants], [gasps], [pants], [loud scream], [chokes, screams] Debbie! Help!, [flesh tears], [screams of terror], [muffled scream], [slash of metal]

I don't know about you but I want a pair of quicker rythmic pants]

Basic Plot: He's still in hell.

 

Friday the 13th Part 10

Basic Plot: Captured by the government and cryogenically frozen Jason is awakened in the future and kills people in space

Appearance: New space age mask, not as good as the classic hockey mask.

Best Death: The girl that gets her face frozen and smashed on the desk

Villain Death: Burnt up in Earth's atmosphere

Twist Ending: None

Freddy 5 : Jason 5

Surprisingly good Jason in space film that has some good killings.

So its a draw, brill.
